The Pier to Pier is a firm favourite on the North East running calendar.
Note! race start time is 9am. One hour earlier than last year.
Blame the moon!
The bus is for both runners & supporters.
The bus will drop runners at South Shields where the race starts then go straight to Roker. Supporters can either travel to Roker Pier or drop off part way for walking.
Prices:
- Members – Adult Fare – £8.00
- Children Fare – £5
- Non-Members Fare – 9.00
Pick up points & times are:
Annfield Plain (07.00),
Lanchester bowling green (07.05),
Kaysburn roundabout (07.10),
Witton Gilbert Travellers Rest (07.10),
Sacriston – Dorothy Tce/Witton Road – Crossroads Health Centre (07.15),
Framwellgate moor – Salutation (07.20),
North Road viaduct – opposite Dominos (07.25),
Gilesgate Outbound layby (A690) under footbridge (07.30),
Sell Garage opposite Belmont P&R (07.35)
Suggested return departure time from Roker is 1.00pm to give people time to have fish and chips and a drink. Departure time will be confirmed on outward bus journey. Return pick-up location shown in map.
